Locking Cables

Concerned about accidental power outages? It may be due to ongoing or regular maintenance inside a rack, non-technical interference with cabling, or vibration issues. Secure your critical infrastructure with one of the below Locking IEC (60320) cable solutions.

Most systems are designed to work with matching plug & socket, however there are some products which are more universal in nature, with a universal socket-side implementation readily available in both moulded assemblies, and rewireable sockets.

Consider whether a locking solution is more important for you at the equipment, or the distribution end of the cable.

Some PDU manufacturers have specific outlets that only work with specific locking cable systems

 

APC / V-lock

  • Locking mechanism on both plug and socket end

  • Requires PDU, Cable & Equipment to have V-Lock 

  • Rewireable socket now available

  • Available with Australian Approvals

 

Locking Cables - APC / V Lock
   

IEC-Lock / WS-Lock : C13 : C19

  • Locking mechanism on socket end only.

  • 100% compatible with existing plug/inlets

  • Requires both PDU & Cabling to have WS-Lock for end-to-end locking

  • Rewireable socket now available

  • Available with Australian Approvals

 

 Locking Cables - IEC Lock
   

IEC-Lock+ Dual Lock : C13 : C19

  • Upgraded IEC-Lock+ socket locking mechanism

  • Dual Lock Plug (V & P-Lock)

  • 100% compatible with existing plug/inlets

  • Plug Requires PDU to have V or P-Lock for end-to-end locking

  • Interchangeable with enLogic's W-Lock

  • Available with Australian Approvals

enLogic / W-Lock : C13 : C19

  • V-Lock on plug end, WS-Lock on socket end

  • Plug is compatible with APC 8000 series PDU, APC locking cables, enLogic iPDUs

  • Socket is 100% compatible with existing plug/inlet's

  • Requires PDU/outlet to have V-Lock socket for end-to-end locking

  • Available with Australian Approvals

 Locking Cables - enLogic / W Lock
   

Raritan / SecureLock / Eaton / Vertiv P-Lock

  • P-Lock on plug end, standard non-lock socket end

  • Plug is compatible with Raritan, ServerTech, Eaton & Vertiv P-Lock based PDUs. It also appears to also work with some existing standard outlets

  • Socket is 100% compatible with existing plug/inlet's

  • No end-to-end locking available, locks into PDU only

  • Combination P-Lock/WS-Lock currently available with UL approvals only

 Locking Cables - P Lock / Raritan
   

WS-Lock / Auto-Lock / Z-Lock :  C13 : C19

  • Socket-only mechanism, different implementation of W-Lock

  • Socket is 100% compatible with existing plug/inlet's

  • End-to-end locking not available

 Locking Cables - WS Lock / AutoLock
   

zLock

  • Plug mechanism has been known to damage
    PDU outlets and is likely to void any warranty

  • zLock on plug end, WS-Lock on socket end

  • Plug & Socket both 100% compatible with existing plug/inlet's & socket/outlet's

  • End-to-end locking with cable only
